ORDINANCE introduced by City Manager Stephen Wade, amending City of Topeka Code § 2.15.090, concerning redistricting and repealing original section.
(Approval will add missing wards/precincts that were included in Plan A, adopted by the Governing Body on November 1, 2022.)

The proposed ordinance involves a matter of home rule on which the Mayor has veto authority. | | POLICY ISSUE: | | Whether to update the ordinance so that it is consistent with Plan A, adopted by the Governing Body. | | STAFF RECOMMENDATION: | | Staff recommends approval of the ordinance. | | BACKGROUND: | Upon review by the Election Commissioner, the Commissioner noted that some wards/precincts were missing from the ordinance adopted on November 1, 2022. Plan A, adopted by the Council, on November 1, included those wards/precincts but the ordinance did not.
