APPROVAL of a three-year labor agreement between the City of Topeka and the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local Union No. 83.
Voting Requirement: At least six (6) votes of the Governing Body is required.
(Approval of this agreement would provide guidelines for management and employees in the bargaining unit. Term of the agreement is 2022 through 2024) | | VOTING REQUIREMENTS: | | At least six (6) votes of the Governing Body is required. | | POLICY ISSUE: | | Pursuant to Topeka Municipal Code Section 2.115.020(a) approval of employee agreements between the city and a recognized employee organization is approved by the governing body and signed by the city manager. | | STAFF RECOMMENDATION: | | Staff is recommending the governing body move to approve the labor agreement. | | BACKGROUND: | The current contract expires December 31, 2021. | | BUDGETARY IMPACT: | | | SOURCE OF FUNDING: | | General Fund |
