A RESOLUTION introduced by Councilmember Sylvia Ortiz, granting Amos Walker an exception to the provisions of City of Topeka Code Section 9.45.150, et seq., concerning noise prohibitions. (Council District No. 3)

(City of Topeka Code Section 9.45.170, et seq., authorizes the City Council to grant noise exceptions. Approval would allow for a live band during the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. on July 8, 2017 at 431 NE Wabash Avenue.)

VOTING REQUIREMENTS:
POLICY ISSUE:

Augustin Munoz has requested that a noise exception be granted for a reception to take place during specified date and time.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends the Governing Body move to approve the resolution.

BACKGROUND:

Amos Walker is requesting the noise exception due to a live band at the event.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

There would be no budgetary impact to the City.
