A RESOLUTION introduced by Interim City Manager Doug Gerber, approving the 2017 Neighborhood Event and Beautification Grant Program(Neighborhood Partnership Program) as recommended by the Neighborhood Partnership Program Grant Review Committee.  (Council District Nos. 1, 2 and 6)

 

Voting Requirement: Majority Vote of the Governing Body (6 Votes)

 

(Approval would confirm the expenditure of $9,142.50 in 2017 for projects in designated neighborhoods.)

VOTING REQUIREMENTS:
POLICY ISSUE:

The Neighborhood Partnership Program provides funding from the General Fund for improvements and programs to enhance the quality of life in Topeka neighborhoods. Approval of the resolution would confirm the expenditure of $9,142.50 in 2017 for projects in designated neighborhoods.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the Governing Body move to approve the resolution.
BACKGROUND:

The Neighborhood Partnership Program was created in 2017 to support a variety of neighborhood building projects and programs. This is the first funding cycle for 2017 and subsequent funding cycle will occur in early summer 2017.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:

Approval would confirm allocation of $9,142.50 in General Fund dollars to fund five projects in NOTOMA, College Hill and Greater Auburndale neighborhoods.
