A RESOLUTION introduced by Councilmember Sandra Clear, granting North Rock Baptist Temple an exception to the provisions of City of Topeka Code Section 9.45.150, et seq., concerning noise prohibitions. (Council District No. 2)

(City of Topeka Code Section 9.45.170, et seq., authorizes the City Council to grant noise exceptions. Approval would allow for amplified music and sound during a tent revival at specific times on April 12-16, 2017, at 2322 NE Laurent Street.)

POLICY ISSUE:
North Rock Baptist Temple has requested that a noise exception be granted for an event to take place during specified dates and times.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the Governing Body  move to approve the resolution.
BACKGROUND:

North Rock Baptist Temple is requesting the noise exception due to amplified music and sound at the events.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:
There would be no budgetary impact to the City.
