A RESOLUTION introduced by Councilmember Jeff Coen, granting Specks Bar and Grill an exception to the provisions of City of Topeka Code Section 9.45.150, et seq., concerning noise prohibitions. (Council District No. 8)

(City of Topeka Code Section 9.45.170, et seq., authorizes the City Council to grant noise exceptions. Approval would allow for outdoor amplified music during the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. from April  16, 2017, through September 24, 2017, at 2105 SW Mission Avenue.)

POLICY ISSUE:
Specks Bar and Grill has requested that a noise exception be granted for an outdoor concert to take place on Sundays during specified dates and times.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff is recommending the Governing Body move to approve the resolution.
BACKGROUND:

Specks Bar and Grill is requesting the noise exception due to outdoor amplified music at the event.

BUDGETARY IMPACT:
There would be no budgetary impact to the City.
