A RESOLUTION introduced by Councilmember Karen Hiller granting The Celtic Fox an exception to the provisions of City of Topeka Code Section 9.45.150, et seq., concerning noise prohibitions.

(City of Topeka Code Section 9.45.170, et seq., authorizes the City Council to grant noise exceptions. Approval would allow for concerts during the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. on June 10, July 8, August 12 and September 9, 2017, on 8th Street between S. Kansas Avenue and Jackson Street.) | POLICY ISSUE: | The Celtic Fox has requested that a noise exception be granted for their concerts to take place during specified dates and times. | STAFF RECOMMENDATION: | Staff is recommending the Governing Body move to approve the resolution. | BACKGROUND: | The Celtic Fox is requesting the noise exception due to amplified music and sound during the concerts.
