A RESOLUTION introduced by Councilmember Sandra Clear, approving a special event known as Moto in Noto 3rd Fridays for 2017. (Council District No. 2)
(Approval would authorize the sale, consumption and possession of alcoholic liquor within designated barricaded portions of N. Kansas Avenue between NW Gordon and NW Norris Streets on May 19, June 16, July 21, August 18 and September 15, 2017 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m.) | | POLICY ISSUE: | Approval allows the barricaded portion of N. Kansas Avenue between NW Gordon and NW Norris Streets to be closed to motor vehicle traffic for a special event, allowing special event attendees to buy, possess and consume alcoholic beverages in the specific area designated by the State of Kansas Division of Alcohol Beverage Control. | | STAFF RECOMMENDATION: | Staff recommends the Governing Body move to approve the resolution. | | BACKGROUND: | The Moto in NOTO will take place on May 19, June 16, July 21, August 18 and September 15, 2017 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m.
