DISCUSSION of the proposed 2018-2027 Capital Improvement Plan and 2018-2020 Capital Improvement Budget. | | POLICY ISSUE: | | Whether or not to approve the proposed 2018-2027 Capital Improvement Plan and 2018-2020 Capital Improvement Budget on April 11, 2017. | | STAFF RECOMMENDATION: | | Staff recommends review of the proposed Capital Improvement Plan. | | BACKGROUND: | The City Council will adopt a capital improvement plan (CIP) covering a 10 year period and a capital improvement budget (CIB) covering a 3 year period in the spring of each year before the operating budget.
For the 2018-2027 CIP, the discussion will occur on several dates: March 14th focused on Utility projects, followed by discussion of General Obligation and Other Fund projects on April 4th. Adoption is proposed for April 11, 2017.
